Israel Muñoz Gallarte
Israel Muñoz Gallarte b. 1978, is Associate Professor of Classics and the Origins of Christianity at the University of Cordoba (Spain). He has published extensively on Imperial Greek Literature (Plutarch), Early Christian Apocrypha, and Semantics. He is the author of Los sustantivos-Hecho en el Nuevo Testamento (Madrid: UCM, 2008) and co-author of Plutarch in the Religious and Philosophical Discourse of Late Antiquity (Leiden-Boston: Brill, 2013) and New Trends in the Research of the Apocryphal Acts of Thomas (Lovain: Peeters, 2022).
He is currently the lead researcher of the project Edition, Translation, and Commentary of the Apocryphal Acts of
Thomas (PID2019-111268GB-100), supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation
